JAMES BARCLAY

James (he/him) is an actor, screenwriter, playwright and director who was born and raised in Vancouver, but spent more than a decade working in the film industry in Europe. He has directed and acted opposite award winners such as Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones), Ulrich Thomson (Banshee) and Zlatko Buric (Wolfs). After returning to Canada, he wrote his first stage play, WONDERWALL, which had its acclaimed premiere in North Vancouver earlier this year. WONDERWALL will be on stage again from April 16 - May 2, 2026 at the Nest Theatre on Granville Island.

James's second original play, THE MOVIE STAR will have its world premiere at Waterfront Theatre in August 2026.
