CREATIVE TEAM

THE "SO-CALLED" BRAINS BEHIND THE OPERATION

DIRECTOR - TRACY LABROSSE

This is the second time Tracy has directed THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG. She swore she would never do it again after the first production went way too well and she lost a lot of street cred. However, she has been reassured absolutely nothing will go right this time around. If it does, she is quitting theatre forever and going back to her stupid job as a stupid rocket scientist... PRODUCER - JAMES BARCLAY

Also known as "the money man." James will continue to write the cheques until they begin to bounce. At that point, you might just hear him weeping in a nearby closet or you may catch a glimpse of him sprinting toward the closest airport. After that, you may or may not be able to locate him somewhere in the deep jungles of Costa Rica... Read James's other lame bio

PRODUCTION MANAGER / PR - HEATHER EVENS

Heather is responsible for bribing critics, but only with delicious homemade cookies, because unlike James, however, Heather is not keen on a life on the run, so she will not be an accomplice in anything deemed illegal or might be misconstrued as illegal. Thank you... Read Heather's other lame bio

STAGE MANAGER / PYROTECHNICIAN - ANNA MORTEN

If theatre is controlled chaos, then Anna is the one pretending to control it. With a headset and a growing collection of stress-induced eye twitches, she is the lifeblood of this production. Anna also enjoys making things go BOOM. As the fearless mastermind behind the fire, sparks and “totally safe” onstage explosions, she lives by one rule: bigger is better (unless the fire marshal is watching)... Read Anna's other lame bio

ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER - ELLIE SCOTT

If the Stage Manager is the captain of this chaotic ship, then Ellie is the overworked first mate, fetching fire extinguishers and making sure no one falls overboard (literally and figuratively). Their job includes chasing down missing actors, untangling headset cords, and responding to every crisis with a well-practiced “I’m on it!”  Ellie is fueled by adrenaline and the willpower to not scream when someone asks, “Wait, what scene are we on?” for the tenth time... LIGHTING DESIGN - SIMON DRAKE

With the power of buttons, levers, and sheer wizardry, Simon controls the mood, the drama, and whether or not the actors can actually see where they’re going. When he's not crafting the perfect spotlight cue or subtly blinding the audience, you can find Simon muttering about gels, cursing at dimmer packs, and wondering why every director suddenly wants “just a bit more blue...” Read Simon's other lame bio

SOUND DESIGN - CHRIS STANLEY

Making doors creak, thunder roar, and ghosts wail—on purpose! (and hopefully at he right time). If you hear something weird, it’s probably me. Sound designer by trade, wizard of noise by choice!.. Read Chris's other lame bio

PROPS LEAD / CO-PRODUCER - KAREN HAMM

If it can be lost, broken, or dramatically flung across the stage, Karen is in charge of it. As the mastermind behind flying dog leashes, trick paintings, and that one oversized bottle of paint thinner, she keeps the madness running (mostly) smoothly. Karen thrives on caffeine, duct tape, and the sheer terror of an actor asking, “Wait, where’s my..."

BACKSTAGE - ADAM CRYSTAL

Adam has a reputation for ruining everything he touches, so he’s thrilled to be a part of this show! As the youngest crew member, Adam spices things up backstage with his lack of experience, awareness, and upper body strength (if anything falls it is NOT his fault). If you see him on stage, hold up your hand to block him from your view so you can enjoy the show... Read Adam's other lame bio

BACKSTAGE - CHRISTI ARELLANO

Christi's main skills include catching falling props and whisper-screaming "GO!" at frozen actors. She joined the production for the drama - and got plenty. Favourite tools: flashlight, caffeine and remorse. Read Christi's other lame bio

Ronica Huynh
Henry Jansen

BACKSTAGE - RONICA HUYNH

Was that a mouse? Or a ghost? Nope—just Ronica, scurrying around the stage in her signature all-black outfit. Looking to gain more experience in board operating, she’s always on the hunt for opportunities to hop on and press some buttons (currently eyeing Trevor’s tech booth). Thrilled—and mildly terrified—to be part of this theatrical mayhem. Read Ronica's other lame bio

BACKSTAGE - HENRY JANSEN

Specializes in misplaced props, mistimed cues, and mysterious smoke. Still shows up and still insists the fire in Act Two was for “dramatic effect. Read Henry's other lame bio

BACKSTAGE - KASSANDRA SISON

From tech troubles to wardrobe malfunctions, Kassandra’s got a tool for everything— and if she doesn’t, she’ll MacGyver it. Her go-to? A trusty roll of duct tape and an unwavering calm that hides the storm brewing underneath. She’s got this... probably. Read Kassandra's other lame bio
